Begin your ballet journey with our Beginner Ballet Debut Program
If you have always wanted to learn ballet, then this is the place for you! We start at the very beginning and guide you through every step. Our Beginner Ballet Debut Program is designed to help you learn the fundamentals of ballet, from vocabulary and technique to strengthening and flexibility. At the end of this program you will learn a variation (small snippet of a ballet) so you can see how things come together!
Who is this program for?
This program is for anyone who is 18+ and has never taken ballet before, or maybe it’s been so long and you don’t remember anything. We start at the very beginning!
If you have done ballet in the past and do remember some things, we request that you come and join us for a free placement class. This will help us see what level is best for you. It can be intimidating for brand new dancers to be in class with more experienced dancers, and we want everyone to feel comfortable.
About the Program
Group Debut Program
18 hours of ballet instruction, with a maximum of 6 dancers per class. Each 3-hour class is structured to help you get in touch with your body and learn the fundamentals of ballet.
- 30 minutes of ballet-specific strength exercises to help you get in touch with your turnout muscles, core, lower legs, ankles, feet, and upper back.
- 2 hours of ballet technique and/or variations. Ballet technique includes barre work and a bit of ballet vocabulary away from the barre. Variations are little snippets of a ballet so you can see how the steps come together. Typically we learn a bit of the Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker.
- 30 minutes of stretching to help you cool down and understand safe and effective stretching techniques. Focus will be on the front of the hips, hamstrings, and back.
Group Program Price
The cost of the Debut Program is $216 due in a one-time payment.
